    Name Mismatch in case of Correction Application – A Defective Application

If the Name, Father’s name, Address and DOB filled in the application for correction in pancard is / are mismatch with the respective ID proof, then it will be treated a defective application. Name should exactly (100%) match with valid ID proof without any difference of a single alphabet or even gap between two words of name.

If Ration Card (without photo) / Other Documents are sent by applicant with application and if these are not valid Photo ID proof for pan card purpose, applicant should provide some other valid Photo ID proof to the TIN-FC or service provider even lateron. To check the list of valid Personal Photo ID Proof, you may please visit for valid Id proofs .

Except any Certificate as Valid ID Proof (to be filed in original), good copy of any valid ID proof may be provided later on also to the TIN-FC and the Service Provider and same will be accepted.

In case, applicant doesn’t have any other ID, applicant may change the data as per existing / available valid ID proof by using the whitener and black pen.

Please note that in case of correction request, applicant will get a discrepancy letter online as well as offline for further verification and to inform the defect in application regarding mismatch. Such letter will be issued in each and every correction application. Applicant should down load that discrepancy letter without waiting for hard copy of application and RETURN SLIP should be sent to given address in the discrepancy letter with selection of suitable option with copies of respective IDs.

BANK STATEMENT IS ONLY A VALID ADDRESS PROOF FOR PANCARD

Bank Statement is an Invalid Personal ID for PANCARD purpose

Few Persons assume that Bank Statement is valid ID for pancard purposes but Bank Statement is not at a valid ID proof for Pancard Purpose. In fact, Bank Statement is allowed and accepted as valid address proof for pancard purpose but with all the following conditions :-

1. Bank Statement should contain applicant’s latest residential address,
2. Bank Statement should be with copy of latest transactions not older than 3 months from the date of processing application,
3. Name of applicant in Bank Statement should be materially matching with application in application.
4. Bank Statement without latest transactions not older than 3 months is not eligible for valid Address proof for pancard purpose.

Therefore, applicant should use Bank Statement as address proof ilatest transacts are also part of that Bank Statement. Clear Photo copy of a Bank Statement with latest transactions is accepted as valid Address Proof.

But some persons has the objections and hesitation regarding copy of bank transactions. In fact, object of Govt. behind this condition to ensure that your account is running and therefore it is your running address for delivery of pancard and pan card will not be returned. Therefore, applicants should not hesitate and object for giving the copy of bank transactions as bank statement it self is invalid address proof without copy of transactions.

RATION CARD WITHOUT PHOTO – INVALID ID FOR PANCARD

Generally, it is understood that Ration Card is valid ID for pancard purposes as it allows as an ID for casting Election Vote but Ration Card without photo of applicant is not at a valid ID proof for Pancard Purpose. Name And Initial Defect In PAN Application

An applicant with perfect application with perfect Ids, gets the fastest pan card and therefore, important is correct (Non-defective) application and not the company. OFFICE ADDRESS DEFECT IN PAN APPLICATION

DEFECTIVE OFFICE ADDRESS FOR PAN CARD APPLICATION

Generally following defects and shortcoming are observed in Office Address for PANCARD Applications :-

* If applicant has selected office Address for delivery of pancard but his office address is not exactly matching with or supported by the Address mentioned in applicant’s Office Address Proof (Employer’s Certificate) in original, then it will be defective PAN application.

* Employer’s certificate should be obtained in prescribed format (Annexure- B) after downloading it. And Certificate may be downloaded from DOWNLOADS / Download Forms available on www.pancard.org.in / www.etdsdsc.com . Employer’s Certificate should always be submitted in Original with Application or even after noticing the defect.

* If the Employer’s Certificate (Not in Annexure-B) / Copy of Employer’s Certificate / Other Documents sent by the applicant with application, are not valid Office Address proof for pan card purpose. Please send Employer’s Certificate in Annexure-B in original by registered post or by hand delivery to your service provider / TIN-FC.

* In case, applicant does not have any valid office address proof as required lawfully, Applicant should instruct his service provider / TIN-FC to get processed your application as per your Residential Address as per existing / available valid ID proof with the application .

DEFECTIVE PHOTO IN PAN APPLICATION

DEFECTIVE PAN APPLICATIONS – PHOTO

Generally following defects relating to pancard applications are observed :-

Photos have stapled on application form which have created holes also. Such stapled photographs are not allowed.

• Photographs’ back-ground is not plain but it is shaded /designed whereas only light & plain back ground is allowed on photograph.

Back ground of Photo graphs is very Dark colored whereas only light back ground is allowed on photograph.

Photos are not front faced. Photos should be front faced and straight and both ears / ears’ side should be clearly visible.

• In the photo Hair / Head top has been cut perhaps due to over-sized photo. Head cum hair should be complete in photos and it should not be cut from head side but in case of over size photo, it should not be cut if Signature Box is not covering and if it is necessary to cut, it should be cut from bottom side only.

• Right Hand side photo has been pasted on Signature Box which is not allowed.

Signature / Thumb Impression / Notarisation has been made on Right Hand side photo which is not allowed.

Photos are very unclear / dull / faded / old / poorly developed, cropped, blurred which is also not acceptable

Therefore, applicants may re-send fresh application (without any payment) following above instructions regarding photographs and be cautious that passport size or smaller size photographs should be complete on head side, good colored and front faced with plain & light back-ground. Photos should be Pasted only and in any conditions, it should not be pinned or stapled.

In case of minor, photographs of minor will only be pasted with above rules though signatures will be made by father / parents.

In any condition, no impression of Thumb Impression and Notary attestation should come on right hand side photo. Notary attestation may be made in little side to avoid any impression on photo as well as thumb impression if done near to right hand side photo and thumb impression box.
